How do ideas actually work  It's simple to fall for the illusion of instant success, and then have moments of revelation.

Steven Johnson describes the eureka moment. Emerging technology such as neural networks as well as machine-learning (ML) are excellent examples.

The potential for innovation is there thanks to the advanced capabilities of these technology. Alan Turing said that AI was not a new concept. Those who have achieved "overnight" success with these technologies are simply taking advantage a technology that has existed for a long time and it is only recently that it has been made available in a manner that allows it to develop innovative applications.
Another method by which ideas are formed is through the process that Johnson refers to as slow honches. They are often influenced and informed by something already in existence.
It's important that we understand how ideas and inventions emerge from the larger social context.  Individuals don't have unlimited resources or the power of their minds.
Instead of a sum of subconscious or unconscious processes -- which are hopefully guided through education and collaboration- it may eventually produce a golden egg. However, it is important to recognize the reality of life that does result in the growth of a person.

The risk of failure  Failure is the primary indicator of success.  Entrepreneurs must be able to handle the possibility of failure.

The power grit Angela Duckworth, a psychologist, wrote Grit The Power and Passion of Passion and perseverance. "Without effort, you are nothing more than an unmet potential. Without effort, you are unable to attain the skills you wish you had. "

The reason for infinity wins  Going viral does not mean building a legacy business. Simon Sinek teaches business owners how to become more consistent as well as more compassionate and more focused in creating goals.

In The Infinite Game, he describes the goal of a lasting business to be centered on a "Just Cause": "A Just Cause must be: For something--affirmative and optimistic; Inclusive--open to all those who would like to contribute; Service oriented--for the primary benefit of others; Resilient--able to endure political, technological and cultural change; Idealistic--big, bold and ultimately unachievable. "

Just causes are those that seek to "change the world" or eradicate poverty. It's bold and big, often bombastic and -the most important thing is that it's impossible. It may sound counterintuitive however it's the quest that really energizes an entrepreneur, not the win. Therefore, quick wins might not be possible, and epiphanies may be misleading, but every single day someone lives and works can be a chance to vote on the future and invest in ideas that could one day bring them wealth.
