Welcome to the Niagara Postcards From Homefront to Battlefront: 1914-1918. The Brock History Co-Op students have been working in this exhibit for the last few months. We have transcribed many postcards, done additional research to help provide context, and put together this website. The collection of postcard we have used are from the Empringham Collection. These postcards look into the lives of a young couple Bert and Mary Hill throughout World War One. The exhibits within the website look more into depth into the lives of Bert and Mary, and the War. The Bert exhibit focuses on the personal details of what he did during and after the war. The Mary exhibit looks at women, at home, over seas, and in the workplace. The war exhibit looks at the battle that were important to Bert and his regiment. There is also an interactive map which shows where all the postcards were sent from and where they arrived.
